A long-awaited new section of the Westfield Černý Most shopping centre has opened in Prague. The centre’s expansion brought not only new retail units and modernised spaces, but also a number of technical and operational interfaces with the existing building, all of which required careful coordination.

ABMV was involved in the project in the following roles:

• Tenant technical coordination — during the centre’s expansion, the volume of related activities and coordination processes increased significantly.
• Technical supervision of the investor during the modification of the western entrance — overseeing the progress of works, execution quality and interfaces with the centre’s operation.

The opening of the new section confirms for us that systematic coordination and technical supervision are key to a smooth handover into operation and the long-term functionality of the building.
