ARCHITECTURE & PROJECT DESIGN

The ABMV Approach

We design, plan, and coordinate projects that make sense — from early feasibility studies and concept design through to as-built documentation.

At ABMV, we bring together architecture, urban planning, and technical expertise to deliver solutions that are not only visually strong, but above all functional, sustainable, and cost-efficient to operate over the long term. Our work is built on Building Information Modelling (BIM) and verified existing-condition data. By integrating mobile 3D scanning, we work with real-world inputs from the very start—significantly reducing the risk of inaccuracies, design changes, and cost overruns in later design and construction phases.

What We Do

  • Spatial planning, urban studies & regulatory plans – Development concepts for the area, building relationships, transport and utility infrastructure, and long-term growth strategies.
  • Feasibility studies – Site and project analysis, design options, high-level economic evaluation, and assessment of planning and regulatory constraints.
  • Architectural concept design – Layout, functional and visual design, including 3D models, massing studies, and visualisations.
  • Interior design – Commercial and residential interiors with a focus on ergonomics, operational flow, material strategy, and lighting design.
  • Process & production schemes – Layout planning, process flows, and interfaces between production processes within the overall architectural solution.
  • Permitting documentation (DPZ) – Preparation of project documentation in line with applicable legislation and requirements of authorities and statutory stakeholders.
  • Detailed design documentation – Technical drawings, construction details, material schedules, and technical specifications for construction.
  • As-built documentation (DSPS) – Post-construction updates of project documentation and digital capture of actual conditions. We use mobile 3D scanning with FARO Orbis technology.

Sustainable Architecture

We design every project with a focus on energy efficiency, operational performance, and long-term sustainability. We optimise layouts to naturally reduce energy demand and improve user comfort. We select materials with regard to life-cycle performance, carbon footprint, and maintenance requirements, and we consider the long-term impact of design decisions on building operations and future adaptability. For us, sustainability is not just about meeting energy targets—it is the ability to deliver a building that remains functional, cost-efficient, and high-quality for decades.

Our Advantages

  • Architecture and design engineering under one roof – one team and accountable leadership, ensuring continuity from concept through delivery.
  • Proven real-world experience – long-term work on projects for both the public and private sectors, across different scales and project types.
  • Digital workflows and BIM standards – higher accuracy of design documentation, better multidisciplinary coordination, and fewer clashes during construction.
  • Focus on sustainability and efficiency – designs with lower energy demand, optimised operating costs, and long service life.

FAQ

What’s the difference between DPZ, DPS and DSPS?

DPZ prepared for the permitting process. It defines the project concept and technical solution to the extent required by authorities to issue approvals/permits.
DPS a detailed design package for construction. It’s used by the contractor on site—includes construction details, specifications, coordination across disciplines, and information needed to build.
DSPS records the actual built condition after completion. It reflects all changes made during construction and is used for occupancy approval (kolaudace), handover, facility/asset management, and future modifications.
